Carving BBS001 Blackfoot Bust Shield

These pictures don't do this carving justice. It is large enough to make a substantial statement on any wall in which it is displayed. This is one of my personal favorites of all the carvings I have done.

Bust dimensions :
16" tall / 9" wide / 4" deep
Shield dimensions :
24" tall / 24" wide / 2 ½" deep

Carved from northern basswood.
Painting is done with oil paints over stain, allowing the wood grain to show through.
Finished with 3 coats of high gloss lacquer for a durable smooth finish.
